Dear authors, CMPUG members, and ICPT supporters,
We hope that all of you are doing well and staying healthy. We are writing to inform you that, unfortunately, we must postpone the ICPT2020 conference scheduled to take place in Portland, OR, at the Benson Hotel on Sept 27-30, 2020. About 10 days ago, the governor of Oregon issued a plan to very gradually lift controls related to the Covid-19 pandemic. The announced plan puts conferences, concerts, and sporting events in the “highest risk” category. As such, they will not be allowed until the final phase of the plan which they hope to start in October of this year, but possibly later. Since ICPT falls before this expected date, combined with many other uncertainties in travel restrictions, budgets, etc., we have reached the unavoidable decision that we must postpone and reschedule this year’s conference.
Please know that we are working diligently with the venue and the ICPT Executive Committee to reschedule ICPT to still be held in Portland. This will likely be in the fall of 2022, or possibly fall of 2021, depending on the outcome of numerous other discussions. We will send out a follow-up notice as soon as this decision is finalized, hopefully in just the next few weeks.
As always, thank you for your support of the world’s premiere conference on CMP. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and look forward to seeing you in Portland soon.
